Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2023
At My IP Status, accessible from myipstatus.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by My IP Status and how we use it.
Information We Collect
We do not collect or store your personal information.
Our entire service is designed around processing your network request headers rapidly in active memory. When you visit our site, our servers read your incoming IP Address to query the MaxMind GeoLite2 databases and return the resulting location data instantly. This network data is ephemeral; it is not logged, saved, or sold into any external tracking databases.
Log Files
My IP Status follows a standard procedure of using server log files for operational uptime monitoring and generic diagnostic purposes (like detecting DDoS attacks). The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information solely related to server load.
Third-Party Services
We utilize open-source map rendering tools (OpenStreetMap) via React Leaflet to visualize geographic coordinate data. By interacting with the maps, basic IP-based requests for map tile images are routed to OSM tier services.
Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.
